Wasilla man arrested for shooting, killing 29-year-old victim Tuesday, AST says

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — A man in Wasilla was killed Tuesday evening, and authorities released more information about what happened on Wednesday, including the name of the man they arrested for the crime.

According to Alaska State Troopers, the call of gunshots came in at 5 p.m. Tuesday. At the home in Wasilla, Joshua Kelsey, age 29, of Wasilla was pronounced dead by medics.

Troopers say Christopher Lorentsen, age 31, of Wasilla, got into an argument with Kelsey, when shots were fired.

Those shots killed Kelsey, and injured an unnamed woman, who was treated for the leg wound at a local hospital.

Lorentsen has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and first and third degree assault. He is being held at Mat-Su Pretrial without bail, pending his arraignment for the crimes.
