FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - An 18-year-old Fairbanks man is set to be arraigned Sunday on multiple charges stemming from suspicion of raping an incapacitated person.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the man turned himself in to authorities Saturday after a warrant was issued last week for his arrest.
Records show the recent North Pole High School graduate was charged with three counts of felony second-degree sexual assault, one count of felony third-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor harassment in connection with an April 7 incident.
A grand jury indicted the man on Thursday.
The clerk's office at the Rabinowitz Courthouse was closed Saturday and full charging documents were unavailable.
Second-degree sexual assault occurs when a person is incapacitated or otherwise unaware a sex act is being committed. Third-degree sexual assault involves sexual contact without a person's consent.
