ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - An Alaska woman was found dead on Sunday at a pretrial facility in Eagle River. Authorities say she had been only been at the facility for a few days before she died.

Nancy G. Analoak, 47, was found unresponsive, according to a release issued by the Alaska Department of Corrections. A facility nurse found her in her cell at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center just before noon on Oct. 28.

Minutes later, despite life-saving measures, emergency medical services declared Analoak dead. Her cause of death was not released, with DOC saying the cause is "under investigation" but that foul play is not suspected.

According to the department, this marks the eighth death of an inmate in DOC custody for this year. The death will be investigated by the Alaska State Troopers and the State Medical Examiner's Office.
