ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - We should stop being surprised, at this point, by Allie Ostrander.
The Boise State junior, originally from Kenai, Alaska, won the NCAA West Regional women's 6K race on Friday with a time of 19:09.
Oregon's Jessica Hull finished second, with a time of 19:22.
Ostrander's first-place finish, along with five of her teammates finishing in the top 16, helped the Broncos to a second place finish behind Oregon.
This also means Boise State will be going to the NCAA cross country championships with this finish. The Championship meet will be Saturday, Nov. 17 in Madison, Wisc.
This is the third time in program history Boise State has grabbed the automatic bid.
