ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Anchorage saw its first measureable snow late Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service Forecast Office says the snow measured .20 inches (it must be at least .10" to be counted).
The measurement came just after 10 p.m. on the October 16, which by the way, is also the average date of the first snowfall for the city.
Temperatures fell to near the freezing mark late Wednesday, allowing for the snow to fall at the forecast office and stick long enough to be measured.
