ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - A man has been taken into custody following a shooting that happened just after midnight on Sunday, according to Anchorage police.
APD received a report of shots fired in the area of 33rd Ave. and Spenard Rd., where officers found a man in a parking lot at 33rd Ave. and Minnesota Drive. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body and was taken to a local hospital with “non-life-threatening” injuries.
A short time after that, officers found a suspect in the area and took him into custody for questioning. He was later taken to jail.
The suspect has been identified as 51-year-old Goetz Tessmer. He faces multiple charges including Assault 1, Misconduct Involving a Weapon 4 and Reckless Endangerment.
