Burn ban in Anchorage finally lifted

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The Municipality of Anchorage announced that a burn ban that had been in effect since June 28 is lifted.

The announcement came from the Anchorage Fire Department, and allows for outdoor recreational fires, barbeque grills, portable outdoor fireplaces, recreational, ceremonial and open cooking fires.

The fire department is reminding residents that burn barrels for burning trash, yard debris, and non-cured firewood is always prohibited in the municipality.
