Coast Guard medevacs cruise passenger near Skagway; second medevac in less than 24 hours

ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - The Coast Guard says crews performed yet another cruise ship medevac, the second in less than 24 hours. This one involved a 62-year-old woman.

The rescue Wednesday happened on the cruise ship Nieuw Amsterdam near Skagway.

This comes just about a day after crews rescued a 61-year-old woman with cardiac problems from a cruise ship near Bligh Island on the eastern side of Prince William Sound.
