ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - 7:20 a.m. Update:

All lanes have now been opened and the live electrical wires have been cleared from the roadway.

5:30 a.m. Update:

According to APD, one lane previously closed has been opened to allow traffic through, but the other lane remains closed for now.

In a community alert, police said that eastbound Debarr Road between Debarr Circle and Charter Circle is now open. Westbound Debarr, however, remains closed, as police work on cleaning up the area.

The road was shut down after a car crash with injuries left live electrical wires strewn across the roadway.

This is a developing story and will be updated as the closures change.

Original Story:

Anchorage Police have closed east and westbound lanes between Debarr Road and Charter Circle to respond to a vehicle crash with minor injuries.

APD wrote in a release sent around 4:20 Thursday morning that "live wires are lying across the lanes of traffic" and advised drivers to look for alternative routes.
