ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Lanes of the Glenn Highway at the Eagle River bridge will close down Wednesday evening as DOT paves areas of the road that buckled between the bridge and its abutment.
The paving Wednesday night will take place on the Northbound lanes.
DOT spokesperson Shannon McCarthy says from 6-8 p.m. the southbound lane will see one lane closed. From 8-10 p.m. there will be closures in Northbound lanes, and those northbound lanes will close from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. while the paving and re-leveling take place.
Northbound traffic between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. will be re-routed up the Hiland Road ramp to VFW Road, which used to be the northbound Glenn Highway bridge over Eagle River.
