Akiachak man found in Kuskokwim identified

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers have released the name of a man who went missing on July 18 in Akiachak.

The man is Joseph Ekamrak, 35, of Akiachak, a village up the Kuskokwim River from Bethel. He was reported to troopers on July 23, having last been seen wearing a grey-hooded sweater with a white stripe.

A body was located on Aug. 17 in the Kuskokwim, and was transported to Anchorage for identification. Next of kin has been notified.
