Elim man arrested after strangling, armed threats


ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers say an Elim man assaulted another man by strangling him and punching him the face, as well as threatening six other people with a handgun.

The man, 34-year-old Benjamin Daniels, was a convicted felon. State Troopers responded to reports beginning at 4:42 a.m. of the threats and arrested him in Elim.

He was charged with Assault 2, Assault 3, Assault 4, and a $5,000 felony arrest warrant was granted.
