ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - It’s never been better for Oregon’s Women’s Basketball.

The Division I team remains No. 1 in The Associated Press women's college basketball poll, and had a historic win on Saturday when they took down Team USA women’s basketball in an exhibition.

A sellout crowd of 11,530 cheered on the Ducks as they defeated Team USA 93-86. It had been 20 years since a college team had beat the United States.

The Americans roster had WNBA legends Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, and the night before the game Taurasi spoke to the Ducks for nearly an hour with the message of “Stay Mad” according to Oregon’s Women’s basketball.

Hebard, a West Valley product went, toe-to-toe against WNBA talent Sylvia Fowles. Hebard finished with a double-double 18 points and eleven rebounds. Oregon head coach Kelly Graves said Hebard kept the Ducks in the game early.
