UPDATE: Wasilla Bicyclist killed in crash identified by Alaska State Troopers

Alaska State Troopers have identified the man killed in a bicycle crash back on June 28, 2019.

AST says 38-year-old Ronald A. Gideon of Wasilla was killed when he and a vehicle crashed at Vine Rd and Raspberry Lp in Wasilla

Alaska State Troopers responded to a car versus bicycle accident near Vine Road and Raspberry Loop in Wasilla Saturday evening.

According to dispatch, troopers found the bike rider had significant injuries and performed CPR but were unable to resuscitate them.

The driver of the Jeep involved in the crash was 41-year-old Chris Anderson of Wasilla. Anderson was arrested on the sight for an active warrant unrelated to the crash.

The bike rider has been identified but the name was not released pending next of kin notification. This is an ongoing investigation.
