Fire at The Dome leads to evacuations, no one was hurt, AFD responded

A mechanical unit caught fire at

early Friday morning.

Anchorage Fire quickly responded to the scene and started to put out the fire.

Russell Moore, Director of Operations, said there were people inside but they were evacuated. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Moore went on to say a backup unit kicked in and kept The Dome inflated.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
