First female commander to take charge of JBER Friday

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson will soon have its first female commander. Friday morning, Air Force Col. Patricia Csank will take charge of JBER and the 673d Air Base Wing, replacing outgoing Air Force Col. George Dietrich.

Csank comes to JBER from Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, where she was the commander of the 635th Supply Chain Operations Group.

This will be Csank's second assignment to JBER. From 2010 to 2013 she commanded the 673d and 773d Logistics Readiness Squadrons at JBER.

Col. Dietrich is headed to Fort Bragg, where he'll work as the director of logistics for Special Operations Command.
