ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Five people have been arrested in connection with the August death of Preston Atwood, whose body was discovered on the outskirts of town in early September.

Timothy Ryan, Tyler Goddard, Laurel Correa, and Jennifer Harren were arrested on a warrant including charges of murder, manslaughter, assault, conspiracy and tampering. Ryan's warrant also included a charge of tampering with a witness. Ryan, Goddard, Correa and Harren are all in custody on $500,000 bail.

Melanie Goddard was arrested under a warrant including tampering with a witness. She is being held on a $5,000 bail.

Seward police, in a release shared via Facebook, reported the five were arrested by Seward and Ketchikan law enforcement on Wednesday evening. Officials did not respond to a call or emailed request for comment submitted shortly after the post was published.

All of the suspects were arrested by Seward police, with the exception of Ryan, who Seward Police say returned to Alaska from Idaho and turned himself in to Kenai Police.

Anyone with information that may be helpful to the investigation is asked to please contact Seward police at (907) 224-3338.

Correction: This story has been corrected to say that Timothy Ryan turned himself in to Kenai Police, not Ketchikan police.
