ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - While under mostly sunny skies Thursday Anchorage warms into the mid 70s.

Down sloping (downward air) over the Alaska Range dried us out later in the day yesterday and we look to stay dry today (Thursday) before storm storms move in from the north tomorrow (Friday), increasing rainfall potential for northern portions of the Mat-Su Valleys and Copper River Basin.

Mostly cloudy early in Anchorage becoming mostly sunny during the day on Thursday while we warm up to 76 degrees. Thursday night we drop down to 59 degrees while under mostly cloudy skies.

Partly cloudy on Friday while we see a high of 73 degrees. Friday night we drop down to 57 degrees while under clear skies with winds out of the north at 15 mph as well as gusts up to 25 mph.

Looking ahead, Anchorage will be sunny on Saturday with a high of 69 degrees with winds out of the north from 10-15 mph
