ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities says Turnagain Pass is open once again, meaning the Seward and Sterling Highways are both clear.
Alaska DOT earlier in the day closed the Seward Highway from milepost 38 to 75 because of "significant snowfall."
The Pass was closed until plow operators cleared the highway.
Photos from DOT showed numerous vehicles surrounded by snow.
A semi tractor-trailer in the ditch in Cooper Landing had also affected traffic on the Sterling Highway Thursday morning.
Channel 2's Kortnie Horazdovsky also contributed to this report.
