JUNEAU, Alaska (JUNEAU EMPIRE) - UPDATE:
Alaska State Troopers have identified the man killed in the crash as 23-year-old Jeffery Turner from Tampa Bay, Florida.
The injured passenger has been identified 24-year-old Juneau resident Dylan Wiard. Troopers say family members have been notified.

A motor vehicle crash in Hoonah has killed one person and left another injured, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Hoonah police reported a vehicle collision on Long Island Road at 5:30 a.m. this morning, troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters confirmed by phone with the Empire Friday.
Authorities are not releasing names of the deceased and injured parties until next of kin have been notified.
The survivor was medevaced to Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau Friday morning, and as of 2:30 p.m. was listed in stable condition, BRH CEO Chuck Bill told the Empire.
The deceased will be transported to the state medical examiner for an autopsy, according to a trooper dispatch online
The dispatch states that Hoonah police responded to an overturned vehicle, but authorities are currently unaware of the circumstances of the crash. A responding trooper investigating the crash is still on scene.
The incident took place outside of Hoonah city limits in state trooper jurisdiction, Peters said.
