Interfaith vigil prays for fair impeachment

Anchorage Friday morning more than a dozen people from various faith organizations in Anchorage gathered outside of Sen. Lisa Murkowski's Anchorage office to pray for Congress ahead of the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump.

"We're standing together collectively with united voices asking our senators to do the right hing and to vote their conscious. To vote what was right through the whole impeachment trial. To do what's right. Not just for the party, but for the people," Adrienne Richardson, Pastor of Church of God and Saints of Christ First Tabernacle said.

None of the speakers at the event called for the president to be impeached, but rather asked for God to heal the country and Congress and guide the process. Some attendees held signs imploring Sen. Murkowski to not "let Trump off the hook."
