It's officially summer and our temps are as warm as ever

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Highs in the mid-70s on Monday with mostly sunny skies.

The high pressure ridge that is in place over Southcentral continues to push down from the north and slowly drift southward on Monday, allowing for generally warm and dry conditions with daytime driven afternoon thunderstorms over the next couple of days. High pressure will continue to strengthen as the week progresses.

Partly cloudy to mostly sunny on Monday in Anchorage plus areas of smoke while we warm up to 73 degrees. Monday night we drop down to 57 degrees while under partly cloudy skies. Once again, we are looking at areas of smoke after Midnight pushing up from the Kenai Peninsula.

Partly cloudy on Tuesday with a high of 72 degrees. Tuesday night we drop down to 55 degrees while under partly cloudy skies turning to mostly cloudy skies later on.

Looking ahead, Anchorage will be partly sunny on Wednesday with a high of 76 degrees.
