ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Highs in the mid 70's on Sunday with mostly sunny skies.

High pressure will bring warmer temperatures with light winds across the region through the weekend. The sun's warming of the atmosphere during peak heating could help deliver some late afternoon and evening thundershowers in Southcentral.

Partly cloudy early on Sunday in Anchorage before turning mostly sunny while we warm up to 74 degrees. Sunday night we drop down to 57 degrees while under mostly cloudy skies.

Mostly cloudy on Monday with a high of 73 degrees. Monday night we drop down to 56 degrees while under partly cloudy skies.

Looking ahead, Anchorage will be partly cloudy on Tuesday with a high of 75 degrees plus areas of smoke due to the fires to the south on the Kenai Peninsula.
