ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - A 19-year-old suspect is facing charges after police say she rammed a stolen jeep into police cars, hurt an officer in the process, and ran from a police K-9.

Police say on Saturday they confronted Leiloa Malauula in the parking lot of the Holiday Station at 36th Avenue and C Street.

Police tried to box her in but she began to ram into their cars.

Eventually, police were able to pin the suspected stolen jeep. That's when Malauula jumped out of the jeep and started to run.

An Officer with the K9 Unit gave multiple warnings, but Malauula ignored them. That's when K-9 Stan went after her, catching her.

Police arrested Malauula after she was treated at the hospital for a dog bite.

She faces multiple charges including Vehicle Theft, Assault, Reckless Driving, and Resisting.
