ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) Every March thousands of people line the streets of downtown Anchorage to see the mushers take off in the ceremonial start of the Iditarod.
In 2017 KTUU covered the sights and sounds of the race to Nome.
John Carpenter and former Iditarod champion Libby Riddles had the call with analysis from Iditarod finisher Jake Berkowitz. Patrick Enslow caught up with the mushers before they took off.
