ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - UPDATE, 10:30 p.m. -All lanes at Dimond Blvd. near the Minnesota overpass have been reopened.

UPDATE, 8 p.m. - Police say several lanes are expected to remain closed while the investigation continues.

ORIGINAL STORY - Anchorage police say there are multiple lanes of traffic closed on Dimond Blvd. at the Minnesota overpass as officers investigate a traffic collision with injuries.

All westbound and eastbound lanes of traffic on Dimond were shut down at the West end of the overpass, with vehicles being diverted onto Minnesota. The southbound exit from Minnesota to Dimond was also closed initially.

According to the Anchorage Police Dept., preliminary investigations show a pickup truck with three people inside it was traveling westbound on Dimond when it ran a red light. The truck t-boned a sedan and rolled multiple times, police said.

Multiple Good Samaritans stopped to help and rolled the pickup truck upright, removing a woman with critical injuries from inside. She and another passenger in the truck were taken to an area hospital. Neither the driver nor anyone inside the sedan was transported for treatment.

According to police, the sedan was traveling southbound on the Minnesota off-ramp, turning eastbound onto Dimond Blvd., when it was struck.

At least several lanes are expected to remain closed while the scene is processed and tow trucks remove the vehicles.

This is an ongoing story. Please check back for details.
