UPDATE: Police release the name of victim in deadly Westchester Lagoon crash

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) Updated Nov. 11, 2019: Police had released the name of the person killed in the crash.

APD said 33-years-old Justin Ching is the man who died in the crash.

Updated Nov. 7, 2019: Anchorage Police say they have determined that there was not a fourth person in the car. They have not yet released the identity of the person killed.

UPDATE Nov. 5:
APD's preliminary investigation found that an SUV was traveling Northbound on Minnesota Drive near Hillcrest Drive at a high rate of speed.

The driver lost control and crashed into the east side of Westchester Lagoon.

The vehicle was believed to be occupied by four adults, all of whom were not wearing seat belts. The four occupants were ejected from the vehicle with one adult male being pronounced dead at the scene.

Two adult females were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Dive Search and Rescue Team has responded to the scene to search for a fourth victim who has not yet been located.

This is a developing story and we will have more details as they surface.

All lanes of Minnesota northbound are open.

APD and AFD are on location of a vehicle collision with injuries just North of Minnesota Dr and Hillcrest Dr.

Minnesota Dr. Northbound has been closed from W 25th to W 15th and I Street.
