ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - On Tuesday, Sen. Lisa Murkowski pinned a Facebook post to her page, which states that her D.C. and Alaska offices are currently “overwhelmed with phone calls from the Lower 48.”
Today, Communications Director Karina Petersen primarily attributes this sudden influx to national organizations that are urging citizens to call U.S. senators with their concerns and questions.
Twitter is one of the big resources these national organizations are using to spread their message, she says.
Petersen says they do not know the total number of calls made to their offices. But she says most callers are asking about the Affordable Care Act repeal process, along with voicing their concerns about President Trump's cabinet nominees.
If you have any questions, concerns or opinions that you would like to express, Murkowski urges Alaskans to contact her through her website and e-mail, if you cannot reach her office via telephone.
