ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at a Sand Lake home early Sunday morning.

Anchorage police say they received reports of a shooting on the 8900 block of Woodstock Circle shortly after 5 am.

“Initial indications are that shots were fired both inside and outside,” APD spokesperson Renee Oistad said in a statement. “According to witnesses the suspect(s) left in a sedan.

When officers arrived, they found the victim and “at least” one other adult person inside the home. The other person was unharmed, police say.

Oistad says the investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released once they are confirmed.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police at 786-8900 or submit an anonymous tip through crimestoppers.

This is Anchorage’s second injury shooting in as many days. One person was shot inside a Spenard trailer early Saturday morning during what Anchorage police say appeared to be drug-related altercation.
