ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — Alaska State Troopers are investigating a hit and run that caused significant injury to a male pedestrian on Talkeetna Spur Road Friday evening.
Troopers say a vehicle versus pedestrian collision was reported at mile 13 of Talkeetna Spur Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. Friday.
A 22-year-old male from Talkeetna was found to be significantly injured, and was medevaced to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
A preliminary investigation found that the victim was walking on the shoulder of the road when he was struck from behind by the vehicle, which then left the scene.
Troopers say they are working to identify the vehicle and investigating new leads.
