ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Highs near 70 degrees on Monday with mostly sunny skies.

Monday in Southcentral looks to see abundant sunshine as well as flow out of the Interior contributing to late afternoon and evening thunderstorm possibilities. Storms moving closer out of the south look to bring cloudier and even wetter conditions to Southcentral as early as tomorrow on Tuesday.

Mostly sunny on Monday in Anchorage with a high near 70 degrees. We cannot rule out hail producing thunderstorm chances in the afternoon and evening before we drop down to 51 degrees overnight while under clear skies. Winds will be out of the southeast at 15 mph but out of the southeast at 40 mph along Turnagain Arm and in higher elevations.

Partly sunny early on Tuesday but turning partly cloudy later on in the afternoon with a high of 69 degrees with winds variable 10 mph winds gusting to 20 mph. 10-20 mph before we drop down to 51 degrees Tuesday night.

Looking ahead, Anchorage will be mostly cloudy on Wednesday while we warm up to 67 degrees for a high temperature.
