ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a non-fatal plane crash that happened Saturday evening in the area of the Knik and Colony Glaciers.
Investigators haven’t yet spoken with the pilot, so few details were immediately available. NTSB regional chief Clint Johnson says another pilot noticed the downed plane while flying overhead and reported it to Alaska State Troopers.
AST responded with a helicopter and transported the stranded pilot back to Palmer. Investigators are hoping to speak with the pilot tomorrow.
It’s unknown if there were any injuries. The flight’s origin and destination were also not immediately known.
