Passengers killed in plane crash near Seward were from Michigan

ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers have released the names of the two passengers killed in a plane crash near Little Johnstone Lake, southeast of Seward.

AST says 42-year-old Michael John Timmer and 43-year-old Traci Pauline Timmer, both from Hopkins, Michigan, died along with the pilot, 63-year-old Kem Sibbit, when the plane went down.

Over the weekend AST recovered the three bodies from the wreckage.

It’s still not clear what brought the plane down.

The NTSB is investigating the crash.
