ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - A Nunapitchuk man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after troopers say he shot at a family member with a rifle.

Alaska State Troopers say Sunday morning they got word of an intoxicated man shooting at and threatening to kill family members.

Troopers from Bethel flew to the area to investigate.

Once on scene, ATS saw the suspect, 30-year-old Don White across the river operating a boat. Troopers caught up to him and arrested him.

Through the investigation, ATS learned Don had used a rifle to shoot at a family member twice. He pointed the gun at and threatened other family members, including a little girl.

White faces multiple charges including attempted murder, misconduct involving weapons and boating under the influence of alcohol.

AST say alcohol was a contributing factor.

White is being held at the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel until he is set to be arraigned.
