ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Police have identified the woman killed in the Saturday morning head-on collision along Seward Highway. Police say 39-year-old Wendy Cox of Oregon died at the scene.

According to an AST dispatch, Cox was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot northbound near mile 66, when a Toyota Camry headed southbound failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and struck Cox's vehicle head on. The dispatch notes the road conditions were icy and slick in the area at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Camry, 26-year-old Molly Burgstahler was airlifted to an area hospital. Two passengers in the Camry were also transported to Anchorage by ground ambulance. Police say all passengers were wearing seat belts, and airbags deployed in both cars.
