UPDATE: Black Angus Inn death now a homicide, third such case in one week

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Updated Nov. 9, 9:30 a.m.:

A death in Anchorage is being classified as a homicide, the third such classification to happen this week.

According to APD, James Page, Jr. was assaulted and died as a result of those injuries. He was found dead at the Black Angus Inn.

Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who has information in this case. It marks the third homicide investigation this week, in addition to a man found dead on East 8th Avenue, and 45-year-old Michael Greco, head gardener at the Alaska Zoo, who was found dead in the zoo parking lot.

Updated 3:25 p.m.:

Anchorage police have identified the man found dead in an Anchorage hotel earlier this week, and now say his death is suspicious.

Police say 59-year-old James Page, Jr. was found dead Wednesday.

Anyone with more information about his death or the circumstances leading up to it is asked to call APD's non-emergency line at 311.

Anchorage Police are investigating the death of a man found in a Fairview hotel Wednesday.

Police say the man was found dead at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday inside the hotel. Since then, APD says detectives received information that made them return to take a closer look at the scene of the man's death.

The APD Crime Scene Team is at the Black Angus Inn to process the scene and determine the circumstances in which the man died.
