Police name man found dead in apartment Tuesday; say case is homicide

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Anchorage Police are now investigating the death of a man discovered in an apartment Tuesday morning on W. 34th Ave. as a homicide.

Police named the man Friday afternoon, saying 36-year-old Steven John was killed in a homicide due to trauma to his body.

Police say they are investigating his direct cause of death.

Police ask anyone with information on John's death, including surveillance video, to call police dispatch at 311 or CrimeStoppers at 907-561-STOP to remain anonymous.
