ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Update: Oct. 21, 3:51 p.m.
Homer police announced new information involving a person who has been missing since Saturday. Police say that two K9 teams showed "heavy interest" in an area between Anesha Murnane's residence and Kachemak Way, an area police say she frequented.
But, they say that the "current theory is Anesha was either picked up or got into a vehicle near the college around 5:30pm Saturday October 19th."
Police say that the Anchorage FBI office is still investigating.
A Silver Alert has been issued for a woman missing from Homer since Thursday.
Police say 38-year-old Anesha Murnane went missing from her assisted living facility near Main Street and Lee Street in Homer Thursday.
According to Alaska State Troopers, Murnane was last seen wearing a blue jacket, light blue shirt, and blue jeans. She is considered a vulnerable adult and determined to be at risk.
Ground efforts to search for Murnane were coordinated Sunday to continue searching the area around her residence.
According to AST, she does not drive or own a vehicle so she may be on foot.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Alaska State Troopers at 907-262-4453 or Homer Police Department at 907-235-3150.
