ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - The Anchorage Police Department has identified another person of interest in the murder investigation of 19-year-old Cynthia Hoffman earlier this month.

APD says 21-year-old Darin Schilmiller of Indiana is in custody for an on-going federal investigation. Schilmiller has been charged with production of child pornography and attempted receipt of child pornography.

Another suspect, 18-year-old Denali Brehmer, has been implicated in the case against Schilmiller. According to the criminal complaint, investigators found the pornography while searching Brehmer's smartphone for evidence related to Hoffman's death. The charges describe Brehmer engaging in the sexual abuse of two minors, ages 8 and 9, and a 15-year-old.

This new information comes just days after APD arrested three other suspects just before the weekend, bringing the total number of suspects in custody to six.

One of the suspects identified in the case is 19-year-old Caleb Leyland. Police say Leyland, along with a juvenile male and juvenile female were involved in the planning of the homicide along with Denali Brehmer and Kayden McIntosh.

The documents further reveal that Leyland admitted to his role in the planning by lending Brehmer and McIntosh his Chevy Trailblazer to kidnap and murder Hoffman -- and he also admitted the five suspects all agreed to kill her.

Cynthia Hoffman was reported missing on June 3, 2019. Police were making arrests less than a week later.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says this is an "ongoing investigation."
