ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Snow is beginning to fall in the Anchorage area. Anchorage is expected to see four to six inches of snow. East Anchorage, Chugiak, Eagle River and the Hillside could see up to nine inches of snow. Palmer is forecast to see between eight and ten inches of snow by Monday afternoon.
Much of the snow will move through overnight which means the Monday morning commute could be a bit of a mess. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley from midnight until 4 p.m. Monday.
After the snow, clear skies and colder temperatures return to Southcentral. Anchorage could see overnight lows drop below zero Wednesday night.
