ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - On Monday, the 6th Annual TEAL soccer game was held at South High School. The game raised $560 for Let Every Woman Know, and will benefit gynecological cancer research.
TEAL stands for “Take Early Action and Live,” with both teams wearing special teal-colored jerseys and a Let Every Woman Know patch.
"I really like how it gives the opportunity to make people more aware of what’s happening, especially for young teenage girls like us,” said South senior Dani Cyr.
As for the game, it would end in a tie, but for the players a rivalry plus raising money always makes for a good time.
"This game is super fun, and it definitely sparks a good crowd,” said Service senior Lauren Hepler.
