Storms bring early morning showers to Anchorage

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Highs in the upper 60's on Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies.

The storm system we have been tracking has moved into Southcentral and has brought early morning showers to Anchorage Wednesday as well as a good portion of Southcentral. Our latest storm should start to weaken and taper off during the day today.

Mostly cloudy on Wednesday in Anchorage with a high near 68 degrees with winds at 25 mph along Turnagain Arm and in higher elevations. Wednesday night we drop down to 52 degrees while under partly cloudy skies and winds out of the south at 20 mph plus winds at 35 mph along Turnagain Arm and in higher elevations

Partly cloudy on Thursday with a high of 69 degrees and a low of 52 degrees while under mostly clear skies. Plus winds out of the south at 15 mph but up to 30 mph along Turnagain Arm and in higher elevations.

Looking ahead, Anchorage will be partly cloudy on Friday while we warm up to 67 degrees for a high temperature.
