ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Anchorage Police now say a man found dead Tuesday night is the victim of a homicide.

At around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday APD and AFD responded to a residence in the 4600 block of east 4th Avenue, on reports of an unconscious person.

When they arrived they found one man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, with no one else injured.

In an update Thursday, police say the man suffered trauma to his upper body -- the cause of that trauma is still being investigated. The man's cause of death is still under investigation.

Police say they believe the man's death is an isolated incident and not a random act.

The identity of the victim will be released pending next of kin notification procedures.
