—Coho salmon fishing has been good throughout the Mat-Su Valley. Check out Talkeetna River, Montana Creek, Kashwitna River and Willow Creek!
—Rainbow trout fishing remains good to excellent through the weekend. Streams are also producing fair catches of Arctic Grayling and Dolly Varden.
—Looking for some family fun this weekend? Try Matanuska, and Kepler/Bradley Lakes for lake fishing.
—As a reminder, it is illegal to transport and release live fish into Alaska waters. A non-native bass was caught in Sand Lake and is being investigated by ADF&G.
—Meanwhile, fishing on Bird Creek for salmon has been fair to good. Anglers have reported catches of coho and pink salmon.
—Trout and Dolly Varden fishing on Campbell Creek continues to be excellent.
—Sockeye salmon fishing is closed on the Upper Kenai River, Russian River Confluence, and Russian River. Coho salmon fishing remains open!
—Coho fishing on the Kasilof River is fair. Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden has been good to excellent on the Kenai River.
—On the west side the Cook Inlet, the next clamming tides are open from September 8th – 12th. Clamming is closed on all EASTSIDE beaches.
