ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Anchorage's Town Square Park filled with thousands of people enjoying the state's largest New Year's Eve celebration. From free music, to food trucks and a photo booth - there was no shortage of entertainment. A 15-minute firework show then completed the night.
Organizers told Channel 2 News, the fireworks were going to shoot an additional 300-feet higher than past years, due to the change in location for where the fireworks are set off from. Spectators said they were able to see the fireworks from across the city. Shown above is drone footage giving viewers a bird's eye view of the fireworks as they exploded across the sky.
