Troopers say Wasilla man shot, killed himself accidentally in alcohol, marijuana incident

WASILLA (KTUU) - A Wasilla man is dead after authorities say he accidentally shot himself in the head.

According to the Alaska State Troopers, Craig Tomlinson, age 27, of Wasilla, was found dead in his home on E Shadow Circle before 11 p.m. on March 10.

Troopers say Tomlinson "died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head that appeared accidental."

AST said no foul play is suspected in the shooting, however alcohol and marijuana "appear to have been a factor."

The State Medical Examiner will examine the body, troopers said.
