Two arrested in Ketchikan with $30,000 worth of drugs

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Two people were arrested on Monday morning with drugs estimated to be worth about $30,000 dollars in street value in Ketchikan.

The arrest was made at approximately 11 a.m.

Melissa Charles, 27, of Hydaburg and Laneea Naufahu, 41 of Anchorage were found with 39 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 39 grams of heroin.

According to the Troopers, the suspects are being held in the Ketchikan Correctional Center without bail.

The Ketchikan Airport Police Department, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, the Alaska State Troopers, and the US Forest Service all assisted with the investigation.
