ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - On Friday, the Anchorage Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire that temporarily closed the Glenn Highway, and while responding to the first fire, a second vehicle caught fire nearby.

AFD says the two vehicle fires were unrelated, and they cannot yet determine the cause of either fire.

The first burning vehicle was located on the Glenn Highway and Airport Heights Drive. The vehicle temporarily closed roads in the area.

AFD says that one unit responded to the vehicle fires and extinguished both quickly.

Anchorage Police Department says they were unaware of the second vehicle fire.

This is a developing story and will be updated, once more information is available.
