Troopers: Jim Creek murder victim killed in Anchorage, bringing city's toll to record-breaking 35

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The murder of 36-year-old Weston Gladney is believed to have occurred in Anchorage, Alaska State Troopers said on Monday.

Gladney’s body was discovered by a trail-user near Sullivan Avenue and Caudill Road in the Jim Creek area on Dec. 2.

“At this time there is no additional information available for release in regards to this ongoing investigation,” said AST spokesman Tim Despain.

Gladney’s murder would bring the total number of homicides in the Municipality of Anchorage to 35 so far this year, breaking last year’s record of 34.
