ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Here is a list of updates from a few stores in Anchorage:

Cinnabon: A new location will be opening in the Dimond Center next to Auntie Anne’s. Construction has not yet begun.

Forever 21: KTUU originally reported that Forever 21 was on a list of stores set to close. An official with the Dimond Center confirmed that a deal was set with the clothing chain, and as far as they know, the store will be sticking around.

JoAnn Fabrics: Signs have gone up and construction has begun on a JoAnn in Midtown in the University Center. A sign displayed in the window said the store will be opening May 2020.

Motherhood Maternity: The store in the 5th Avenue Mall is expected to close soon. The company is closing many other stores around the country.

Box Lunch: The chain store is family-friendly with clothing, knick-knacks and more relating to pop culture and fandom. According to the company’s website, every $10 customers spend in-store secures one meal on behalf of local food banks.

Once in a Blue Moose: The family-owned business has a variety of Alaskan gifts and souvenirs. Their new location is in the Dimond Center.
